Default F3 petcock on a F2?

I was told it will work and it's better because it doesn't use vaccum. Is this correct?

The purpose of the vacuum line turn off fuel flow when the engine is not running. The F3 has a fuel pump so it doesn't need a vacuum petcock.

If you use the F3 petcock and the bike falls over or you crash, the bike can not turn off the flow of fuel and it will empty the tank on the bike and ground.

If you are having problems with the vacuum side of the petcock just buy the "coverset, petcock" (as Honda calls it) and replace it. Problem fixed.

Hahaha small world. The f3 petcock will bolt on and get fuel to the carbs but I think having a f3 petcock would be the same as having my bad f2 petcock. Constant flow to the carbs. Not what I want. I picked up a f2 petcock today for $30. It works great so I'm set!

Just cap off the port from #1 with a vacuum rubber cap. Or stick a golf tee in the end of the vacuum line. The open line will cause the bike to run rough and idle badly.
