Unhappy Explosion sounds from my engine! Please help.

So I have a 94 f2. I put it up for winter and left it dry. This last few weeks I've been getting things ready for spring. When I go to start my bike, the loudest pops or bangs started happening. I thought maybe the gas was bad, it's only a few months old. So I get some fresh gas. Drain the carbs. And put it back together. Same thing, it just cranks over and over, and then gunshots shooting out the tailpipe. Please help. I'm seriously fearing the worst.

Here is what I have done so far: I checked the coils, they are good. I checked the plugs, they were wet. I checked the pulse generator thingy, and that was good too. Plenty of spark from the coils. All plugs fire. I tried removing the air cleaner to get more air. No luck. I checked connections and resistances. Everything good there. Good batt. Good gas. Good spark. I'm just stumped.

Are your spark plug wires all in the correct order?

How old are your spark plugs? I once had a similar issue with my old F2, when I put it away it ran good, when I started it mid winter it struggled, when I tried starting it at spring, got nothing. New plugs, first touch of the start button and it fired right up.

You said drained the carbs, did you open them and had a look at the jets or just drained the bowls through the drain screws?

Make sure battery is 100% fully charged. Happened on my friends zx7 until we hooked up the jumper. It turned over just fine but didn't have enough juice for the ignition. I bet that is your problem.

the spark plugs are fresh, i drained the carbs just to get the old gas out. i make sure to keep the carbs empty and dry when i put it up for winter, so the jets stay clean. anywho, i was able to get the bike started, was just some residual old gas in the carbs. runs great now.
