Electrical problem, maybe?
I have a question. I have started working on a bike that has been sitting for 3 years. I cleaned the carbs and got it started. because the bike isnt insured i could never take it for a ride but i started it almost every day to hear it run and make sure the coolant levels where correct (I did a coolant flush). I noticed on the 3rd day i started it that it sounded like it was bogging down and it VERY slow throttle response. It promptly died. I started it back up again and it ran for maybe 10 seconds before dieing again.
I really didnt know what happened but the battery seemed weak so I took it off, and charged it. When I put the battery back into the bike and tried to start it, it was HELL to start. It was worse than when I tried to start it after i cleaned the carbs. It seems like fuel isnt reaching the engine. I repeated this process of charging the battery getting the bike running one more time and it died again so i came on the forum to look up a solution. It sounds like symptoms of an RR so i pulled the plug to find the sockets of the 3 yellow wires FRIED like completely black.
So I went out bought a gsxr-1000 RR and a new battery soldered the wires up and charged the battery once again and got it going. Later, it died on me again. I have yet to test the voltage output while its running cause every time I have gotten it running I my brother in law isnt around with his multimeter. But does this sound like an electrical problem to you? Maybe the alternator? or is it fuel. I dont understand if the bike died because of loosing battery power why would it be nearly impossible to start again once the battery is recharged? any insight at allllll will be appreciated.

no no, emptied the tank brand new fuel in it. I completely took them apart as shown in the guide and i let all the jets soak in carb cleaner when it runs, it runs real well. no studdering, great throttle response even took it for a tiny little spin around the block and couldn't feel anything wrong with it. Put in a brand new air filter.
Check all the vacuum lines?
You can check the stator legs with the bike off, it's in the service manual available online. I believe the R&R has a test you can do too but I can't recall it off the top of my head.

alright ill get going on the stater tomorrow. I did as many tests i could find in the manual that could be done with the bike off and so far everything checks out. Alternator isn't grounded out non of the resistances seem to be off. And it passed the leak test. Like i said I couldn't do the charge test but I' m REALLY hopin i didn't burn through another RR
edit:
I was also wondering if I got the bike going could i test the voltage between one of the yellow wires at the RR and the ground to see if alternator is putting out voltage?

So as you can see the tops of some of those legs look brown like oil burnt on to them. However the tops of some of the legs are squeaky clean, don't know if that means anything or not, you will see what I mean when you look at he pictures. Also is it weird that that yellow rubber like material looks like it leaked on to the wheel that you put the screws in to secure it to the bike? Take a look at the plug, they are a little more blurry but you can see a little black patch inside each one.
pictures where a little large so i uploaded them to photo bucket, take a look

Yea the plug looks bad... does that automatically mean the stator is bad? Or does it mean I just have to solder on a new plug? I think I'm going to test continuity with a meggar my buddy has sometime this week should tell me if anything is shorted....
