electrical issue won't start

Default electrical issue won't start

i got caught in a huge rain storm on a trip the other day, pulled off at a gas station and turned the bike off, now it wont start. battary has been charged and is in good working order. checked fuses (only 4 right) they are good. headlight fires up when i turn the key but nothing happens when i push the starter. no noise no clicking nothing. bike is in nuetral and side stand is up. any ideas?

There master fuse is right next to the battery. You need to check that one, too!

thankes checked it, no luck however. also the battery is holding 12.94 volts

check the solenoid.

Spray contact cleaner on the starter switch.

ended up being the solenoid relay.

lol yep, let me guess you took the chain guard off right? Those things are notorious; wrap that thing in any chit you can find idc if its exhaust wrap or seran-wrap just get it covered

so when i replace it with a new relay, for real what should i use to protect it from the elements?

Pilot screws most likely, tighten all the way until they seat. Then 2 and 1/8 turn out on all four

Is the moisture getting in the relay itself and corroding the internals? Qouls dipping in plasti-dip be possible? You can get that stuff at most places like lowes or home depot.
