yes i tried that gasketmaker junk at first. first of all its messy as hell and it doesnt seal as good as the true rubber type gasket. one guy made a good point and mentioned that i could just buy a whole new set of used carbs on ebay for around the same price as 4 of the gasket sets...

Default hey

I used this stuff from permetex i believe it worked really well just put a light film on top of your old gasket.

PS make sure you look on the back of the tube or wrapping to make sure it is the one that is resistant to petroleum products.

it would make sense if more fuel is exiting the carb than entering the cylinder

Only if it's a stream the size of your thumb. Gas lost via the leak is quickly replaced. Did you confirm it's running down the sides of your bowl? If it isn't, it's the Oring on the drain screw like mentioned before and not bowl gasket. I've used Hondabond on a bowl gasket before with success. Like someone said, be careful that it doesn't run down inside. But make sure that's what it is first.

Also. Has Anyone tried to cut their own gaskets out on the sheets of gasket rubber?
