Hey everyone,

So the time has come for me to change the chain on my 94 F2. This is one of the last things I have to do to it for it to be ready for the season. So my question is, What kind of chain would be a decent chain to get, that is in the cheaper range? There are many O-Ring chains on ebay for between 50-70, which is kind of what I would like to spend, but I'm not sure which one to get. Does the 520 or 530 make a difference? The sprockets are in good condition, but I do not know if they are aftermarket or not, and I have only had the bike a couple months now myself. If anyone has any recommendations im kinda new to the street bike scene so I do not know much about these things...

I don't know about the cheap chains. Never tried one. DO try to stick with 530. The smaller 525/520 chains wear MUCH faster. And you should change your sprockets and chain together.

 

Ill make sure to stick with the 530. I think im going to end up having a friend whos a mechanic at a local bike shop get the chain for me, so I can get a better quality chain for a similar price with his discount. Thanks for the help!

 

If you can afford an X ring chain, get it. It will last much longer than an O ring number.
