ok. well im uploading another pic....this is on carb1. its a gold piece where the hose was connected to originally i believe...... where does the other end of the hose connect to???? or are u just saying to plug the other end up?

Yep - that needs to just be plugged up. Not used except for syncing your carbs now. You can see here that each carb has a port like that, but unless a carb sync has been done, they just have bolts screwed in to close them up.
forgive the oil residue - previous owner laid the bike down on the right side - no telling how long he left it there, but looks like plenty of oil found its way out the #4 carb.

No - there won't be a hose from the carbs in your situation - there's nowhere on your petcock for it to connect. The skinny opening in the bottom of the tank is a vent line, so is the bigger opening. Both just will drop down and need to be positioned somewhere that they will allow fuel to flow out the bottom of the bike if you were to overfill the tank, or slosh fuel somewhere that it doesn't need to be. If you don't connect vent lines to these, it would potentially allow fuel to just spill down and pool onto the hot engine case in those situations, which I hope we all agree is a bad idea.
No need to connect the hose from the carbs. I was wondering all along if you were just not looking close enough or had an f3 petcock.

Could possibly check an auto store. Whatever you do, don't just seal up the hole in the engine. You could even just cut a small piece of the rubber line then clamp it off somehow.
I've never had to do it, maybe someone has a good suggestion.

The hose from the side of the engine goes to the gas tank / petcock.
It helps feed the carbs with gas.
The other 3 if you have left in the ports that you bought at the dealer.
cover those with some vacuum line and some bolts in the end to block them after syncing the carbs.

Vacuum caps
When I did my carb sync, the plug on my #2 carburetor has hardened over time and is no longer sealing properly. It was one of the reasons my idle wasn't smooth. I found a replacement from Kragen (now O'Reilly). They are in a pack of 5 or 6pcs and they fit nice and tight. I used the old clamp which are also a perfect fit for the caps.
