can't find neutral, shift peg assembly problems?

I can't say how much I appreciate all your help man. I flipped the linkage piece over, and wouldn't you know its perfect! (although I still don't see the dots). It shifts through all the gears and neutral fine. Also the hose stopped smoking haha.

And yeah the idle screw came all the way out. I figured it went into the carbs somewhere, thanks for the great pictures! Again man, I really appreciate all the help. You made me feel like a little kid on christmas! Getting my mc permit first thing tomorrow morning, and riding nonstop for 3 days!

One more dumb question, on. The choke lever is down open or closed?

pulled toward you - down - is the choke "on" position. Pushed away from you is the normal running position.
