Ammeter Charging Test
in 15-6 in the Service Manual it says to disconnect the relay remove the fuse then reconnect connector, connect the multimeter onto the relay switch (ie starter switch) and measure amps. What wire to I connect the meter in series with red, y/r, g/r, or other one i forget the color maybe red/white?
I do this with the bike off right?

update::: Just did the test (yeah i know omg i figured it out myself) and im reading 3amps!!! @ idle i did put a mosfet 12 (r/r) thing from the sticky on it would that be why? says it should only be 1 amp in the manual someone tell me??!?!?! I've had previous problems with this charging system even with the new r/r on it still though 3amps if it still dies after 30 minutes i'm checking the stator again.

well to no surprise the bikes done whats it been doing for months, battery slowly drains and then at idle (i can tell by the instrument cluster because it gets dim) dies. Usually at a stop light or something, this time i compensating by adjusting the idle and enriching it with the choke. It was at 2,000+ rpms. Was a very temporary solution.
I also feel like I caught it in the act this time with the having the engine pulse at 4k + rpms and then die when I pulled the clutch. I fully charged it with trickle and took it to adv auto first this time. I think it might be the stator.
Anyone with any insight?
P.S. Jesse you might want to look at the bottom of section 15-6 of your service manual, it might help you understand what i'm referring to.
