I was having some difficulty getting my bike started. I decided to take apart the carbs and give them a good cleaning. Sure enough, they were dirty and once I put back on everything I was able to get the bike to fire up without any problems and it sounds better than it ever has.

I decided to take it for a spin and about 2 miles down the road the bike starts sounding like it is starving for gas and shortly after it stalls out. I opened the gas tank to make sure I had fuel (and re-checked to make sure the gas line was turned on) and everything looked fine. After about 5 minutes I get it to start back up and after about 1/2 mile down the road again it stalls out again (still sounding like it's starved for gas).

My bike does not have a fuel pump, it runs on a vacuum. I made sure the breather hose was not kinked, I had recently replaced the air filter, made sure all fuel lines on the petcock were tight and where they were supposed to be, used compressed air to blow out the breather tube (which there was a steady amount of air that came out of the tank so it didn't seem like it was clogged), etc.

I started the bike back up again the following day, let it idle for about 15 min and everything sounded great again. I took a ride around the block and sure enough after about a mile it sounded like it was starved for gas and stalled. When I open the gas cap and close it again right after it stalls, the bike still won't start. However, if I let it sit for a while (as in several hours) it will fire up.

Anyone have any suggestions on things to try? I'm running out of ideas so any help would be much appreciated!
