1994 f2 Restore
I picked this 1994 f2 a couple months ago, was a race bike , needed alot of work , Criags list special, Motor bag not running, so i go over to look at it , do a compression test , ok seem good , a little low, 140 psi across to board, most likely need a valve ajustment, carbs cleaned tires brake gone though, and a upper faring,
Budy has a nice f2 he picked up for 1300 and runs well, not to much work.
so i get it home , clean carbs , starts right up. sounds good not rattles , smokes a little, but seems to run overly good, so i put new tires on it , change all fuild's

so then i had it dyno over at marietta motorsports . on go one run on it before the chain ajustment broke and flew off at full power.
was running real rich. has a factory pro jet kit in it . two brothers timimg advance kit and is at 5 deg advance . 140 mains clips 2 snd from bottom on needles
still made 80 hp , so i start going over it , do the valve adjustment , lots of fun, will pull motor next time for that!!check carbs order new main jets , stock + 1 size up and down, clean carbs again, doesn't seem to be running on all cylinders , take a temp reading on headers #4 400deg #3 about same ,#2 290 deg , #1 100 deg , ok so whats going on pull plugs #4-#3 aliitle grey now 100 oct vp race gas , #2 a little black and brown better, #1 black no oil on plugs, all plugs new , so #1 seems to be not working ,
can't find compression adapter to do leak down , pull carbs a little grey ,on intakes so i put plugs back in spray so lube into intake hole and chrank it over , all valves are leaking air on compression stock, ok needs a valve job,
that $300 to send out,
Then i pull plugs again and hold my hand over plug hole to if about how much compression ( remember lost tool) #1 will blow had off head #2 none #3 can feel presser #4 did not do,
so i may have a bad head gasket or rings are shot. how much more do i want to spend. i have a 91 FZR 600 that just got new 1.00 mm over pistons and rings , had the head done right before that, Big $$$$ to have done all this work , i will have to keep that bike until i die .

I check the temp on my header pipes near the head and got what I thought was too much of a difference (cant remember exactly what they were). But my basicly stock bike with K and N, jet kit and full header made 86.64 hp, runs great, I think, and I have an 08 CBR 1000rr for the street. The F2 is track only. Also, practice your typing skills, it kind of hard to figure out what you're saying.lol

so i pulled the head , took it to the machine shop , head is not warped, the intakes did leak some. i have been waiting on tools to get here, bought a new valve spring compressor & a Bore gauge.
when at the machine shop ,talking with him about what was going on, he said that it could be low compression , stuck rings, or as simple as a bad coil. i thought for sure a blown head gasket, well i am doing the valve job now , only have to lap valve in and then order new oil seals,
