Default Going to track tomorrow!!

well heres the run down...1987 hurricane 1000f, i geared down one tooth on front sprocket
have a k@n adj.valve lash,regapped plugs.. adj.backlash on chain, drilled some holes in back of mufflers,cleaned carbs put new tire on front.. suppose to be nice and cool tomorrow so should run good..anyone want to guess on a time and trap ???lol last time i ran a 11.7 best.. the track is cedarfalls iowa..

well ran the bike 11 runs down the 1/4 mile my best was as follows
60........1.950
330.......5.052
1/8........7.600
mph.......95.58
1000.......9.830
1/4.........11.750
mph..........116.15
not to bad but i know theres more just dont know where.....lol
i think next time i should gear up instead of down and see what that does..

if you gear up then your top speed will be greater, i would go up 2 in the back and you'll have better take off and in the end a better time. because it shouldn't be red lining in 6th when you hit the quarter..

i was going into 5th gear just befor the traps.. but i do see what you mean. i still say theres something wrong with it,i cant even do a wheelie unless i pull up on it or clutching it in first gear....or i hit a big bump...lol

ha ha,my bike to slow so bought a hayabusa, i smell hi 9's low 10's in stock form!!! its a 2004 with 3,200 miles on it...

Be careful, it's a lot of bike! Have fun at the track, and good luck on 9's! I achieved that late last season, it's a good feeling
