Default windex

Windex probably isn't bad but be careful - some of those blue window cleaner products have ammonia in them, which could be bad

I didn't have time to read the entire thread but I've used peanut butter to get the paste wax off of plastic on cars so I assume it would be the same for bikes. Just get all of the peanut chunks out of it. It also blackened the plastic up a bit from the oil.

If you actually wash your bike with water try using a leaf blower if you have one to dry your bike. It will force water out of places you can't see or reach with a towel.

Do you guys have a tactic for washing the bikes? Or just sort of soap everything up the way you would a car

Sorry if this sounds stupid - but do you guys use a water hose to rinse your bike before a wash like you would with a car?
