Not the first time I've heard this. Pledge cleans just about anything hah.

I use Plexus. Love the stuff.

Plexus leaves no residue and gives an awesome shine. Easy to wipe=off. Pledge is much tougher to wipe-off clean. But, will shine just as well as Plexus. Plexus is expensive though. Jubilee Kitchen Wax is also another great alternative.

My dad came home one day with a can of FW1 cleaning wax that he said he bought from a man selling them outside a gas station. My first thought was that my dad had been ripped off, especially when he said he paid $15 for the can. He said the guy told him it would remove road grime, grease, bugs and whatever else, as well as leave the vehicle shining.

I took the can and sprayed some on my bikes rear rim that had some grime and it took it right off effortlessly, also got the under tail fairing that had some grime sprayed on it and it worked flawlessly. I then took it all over the bike and was highly impressed with how clean and shining it was.

I've been using it ever since, but I may give the Honda Cleaner & Polish a try since it is cheaper.

Anyone try Sprectro XL-1 motorcycle wash? Says it cuts through grease, dirt and road film. No harsh chemicals.

I apologize if I missed it as I was reading through the thread, my biggest concern was the electronics...

Do you just use a shower type rinse and keep it away from the electronic screen? I saw the leaf blower thing but I don't have an air compressor or leaf blower....only thing I could think of is getting some air spray cans lol.

When I used to clean the engine bay of the car I would just use a light rinse, spray the cleaner and rinse it out and then let it dry for about an hour. Start it up and let the heat of the engine evaporate everything else.

I need to clean my bike but just don't want to mess up something!

Also is there a specific way to clean the shields like a car window? I have a hotbodies shield.

Wash car with meguiars generic car wash with microfiber sponge

Dry it with a leaf lower. Wipe off any left over water with a microfiber drying towel.

Meguiars clay bar, scratch x ( if needed), meg cleaner wax, Meg gold class wax. Applied by hand with mf cloths and applicators.

Any polished metals are hit with mothers polish I've even wet sanded some really scuffed up metals like the heel guards.

Purple power degreaser on wheels.
