Gloss or Flat Black????
I have just finished painting one of my CBR ducktails and HRC seat cowl satin black, came up well, not too glossy ,not too flat . Easy to wash as well.

i'm not really sure. originally i was thinking all gloss black accented by some carbon fiber (mirrors, levers, frame sliders, foot pegs) for a shiny show type look. the flat black theme is more of a "badass" type theme which i have gotten positive comments from riding it around in primer. i think the flat looks good because of the contrast with the gloss powder coat all over but i also have to remember that the part of the frame that is currently exposed at the front of the tail will eventually be covered. i want something unique that will turn heads but that isn't tacky or overboard.
it took a lot of time to get everything designed, measured, and made - a lot of back and forth. basic fabrication skills (i.e. welding, grinding, drilling and tapping) are all that are needed. i wasn't in a hurry when i did this but i worked on it for a number of weekends. i have some detailed pics on my photobucket if you want to look at that for now (http://s158.photobucket.com/albums/t...ect/?start=all). i've had a decent number of people ask about it so i will try to make a writeup with more details at some point over this winter break.
