Default crash damage...i think.

Hi Guys, sorry for being a bit quiet but the mother in law (more like a Mum) passed away early Nov. Not entirely unexpected. Thanks in advance for all your best wishes.
Any way i fould out on my long term build that the RHS (as you're sitting on it) small curly crash bar and the long plastic cover (my LHS one is pictured)were both FUBAR. looking at replacements ebay etc, one price for the cover was around £90, i mean for a 30 yr old piece of mangled platic, is extorsion.

So i'm wondering if anybody out there has one for a fellow member at a more realistic price.
Regards, Rich

Oh just realised this should be in the bought and sold area , i'll move it

My sympathies for your loss mate.

These bits of plastic are the most easily damaged and are almost a sacrificial piece to save the rest of the panel.

However, this makes them very very rare almost 30 years after production has stopped, like the infill panels.

Supply and demand I'm afraid.

Hi guys, Thanks for your words, much appreciated. thought i'd ask a few questions,

I'm thinking or drawing up a 3D representation of the small cover and was wondering if anyone knows of a reasonably cheap way of "Printing" it. either if you're in a company that does it or do it as a hobby. let me know. as they're rare and pricey maybe we could set up a way of producing parts that aren't available..(its a dream of mine...)

Secondly, as plastic fairings seem to break quite easily now have many of you fixed them using one of the many ways of doing it plastex, plastifix, plastithisisbetterthanthosefix, and if you have , any comments about their suitability, ease of use etcc.. Thanks

Regards

Rich

Default Hello gentlemen

Hello gentlemen I have a black chain gard I'm willing to let go...... Actually I have an entire 90 CBR1000fl I'm trying to get rid of because the engine has a 10mm hole in the bottom end. I can't post it for sale on this form because I'm not a senior member but yours seems to be the most recent. So plz get back to me I could help alot of you guys that are in need of parts. I would hate for them to go to waist. Cheers and have a good day.

Just so everyone is aware I'm in California. If I'm allowed to I'll post everything I've taken pictures of so far.
