Is this a reasonable price in AUS
Went to look at a 1990 model today. New tyres, authentic 50 000ks and looks legit. Very tidy bike that has been looked after. Cam chain has been replaced, no dammage or scrapes anywhere on fairings. Motor was very smooth and very quiet.
Is AU$4000 is a fair price to pay, not a bargain but reasonable value for money considering the bike is original and in excellent, however not mint condition.
Anyone in Aus want to give me their thoughts on this as a price before i commit?

I got my 93 model with 60000klm for $1800 18 months ago, it was a little rough and blew a bit of smoke. The top end rebuild cost almost $3000 and a bit for new left cowl and bits and pieces, all up about $5000. A 99 model in perfest condition with 13000klm sold a few months ago in Qld for $5200. I saw a 93 in Launceston Tas 9 months ago for $4000 at a bike shop it had about 40000klm but it looked unloved all the bike looked faded. So $4000 sounds about right for the bike you are looking at as long as it does not blow any smoke(my problem was more the po than a fault of the bike as you hear many examples of these bikes with over 100000miles on the clock if maintained properly).

This belongs to a mate of mine in NZ. Don't know what the $NZ/$Aus conversion is but it seems to be overpriced, He has had it on the market for over a year.
