Default Heli bars at a reasonable price??

I am really getting hooked on the bike...finally comfortable with the flip of the wrist wheelies...but I have one issue.
I WANT HELI BARS to bring the grips back an inch or so and up an inch or so to make it more comfortable...90% of my riding is around town & I ride to work almost every day.
Any info on where I can find some for a reasonable price would be great. The best price I have found yet are @ SuperBikeSupply for $229 plus shipping.

This and the stupid-uncomfortable seat are the only complaints I have.

Ok, I've decided to wait until spring for the heli bars, unless I find a good price before then. I don't see myself going for any long rides in northern Virginia this winter.

If anyone knows of any used (not wrecked) heli bars, let me know.

By the way, I got a new waterproof, vented jacket with protectors and a zip-out liner made by Cortech at the Motorcycle Superstore (click here to see it) for under $150 shipped. For summer I can yank out the liner and open as many of the 8 vents that I might need. I thought it was a great deal for those not so warm or not so dry days. I still have my mesh Joe Rocket for the unbearably hot days.

Hasta!

If you haven't gotten "heli" bars yet try the stock clip ons off a VFR interceptor. They go for about $50-100 on ebay for a set.
THis is something I have been considering.

if you ever decide to upgrade the seat I highly recommend the sargent seat if you can find one... it's one of the best upgrades I did

I had both sargent and corbin seats, sargent seats are much lighter than the corbin, but don't have a rear seat to match for the wife.Comfort wise I like the Corbin for long rides plus I have a back rest for the rear seat better for 2 up.

I haven't gotten to the point of trying to match compatible years and models. I would assume that if they have the same style forks, it would be a direct fit, but can't say for sure.

Can anyone confirm if the VFR clip ons will fit. I want a little more relaxed ride for the long hauls.

i don't think a vfr bar will fit. vfr are using non inverted fork so the diameter of the fork should be different
