Shakey's "Original Sin"
Wow! Some really beautiful bikes on display here. Lot's of respect to everyone for the amount of vision and work put in to creating such awesome rides.
Thanks for the nomination and second to give me the opportunity to share my photo's with you all.
Anyway ... here's my old CBR. It's been off the road for the last 18 months or so, after a little mishap involving a paddock stand, a wall and lots of broken fairing panels. This is how it looks today, after lots of tinkering to get it ready for it's MOT test on Monday morning (fingers crossed). Things always take a lot longer when your as broke as me! lol
Here's a quick rundown of what's what:
Original 1988 (first reg'd 1989) Gen 1 CBR1000F-J
Genuine 23,000 miles from new
I'm only the 3rd owner.
Recently replaced bits include:
New rear tyre
New blue tinted screen
Replaced both mirrors, as the old ones were damaged beyond repair.
Lots of plastic welding to repair fairing panels.
New brake pads all round.
Engine service and ALL fluids replaced.
New front mini indicators.
After 18 months of being idle in the garage, she fired up on 4th push of the button and runs as sweet as a nut, which I think says a lot about these old beasts!
Jobs still to do after the MOT test on Monday:
Full deep clean
Seat re-cover
Re-paint the new mirrors
Replace the original 24 year old brake lines with HEL braided lines.
I think I've also tracked down a pair of stainless stubby race cans too!
In summary....
Not too shabby for her age (24) and runs perfect apart from the usual cam chain rattle when cold...... I'd ride her anywhere, in any weather and she can still show a lot of newer bikes a clean pair of heels when the mood takes!!!

Okay, well I see that I'm losing this contest so I had to do a little campaign endorsement. So I have brought my good friend Megan Fox along for the ride!
Disclaimer: No, Megan Fox did not really do a photo with my bike. It's probably the worst photoshop attempt ever and I don't expect this to fool anyone, this is just a joke.

Well Id love to contribute some nice pics of my bike but being that it is a snowstorm out right now that is not going to happen. Maybe Ill luck out and the snow will stop. In the mean time here are a few pics of the bike I already have from this winter.
I just purchased this bike 2 months ago with these mods already done.
Toshimura rs-5 exhaust
full undertail
led flushmounts
steering damper
Mods I have on the go include
LED audi style lights but on top of the headlights to give the bike a different and more aggressive look
HID projectors with white angel eyes and red demon eyes (though about going green because of the picture with my dogs)
2 alarm systems (can be seen in picture, one brown and one black, eyes flash green to let you know they are armed...kidding)
spy 5000m alarm system with remote start (had on my old f4i, cant beat the price)
I would like to get out and travel some on the bike this year. Thinking about taking a ride to Nova Scotia and back or something similar.
