I just discovered a catastrophic failure in the engine. The guy I got it from told me it just died, and now I know why. Cylinder number 3 has a split in the sleeve (see pic) at least I assume its a sleeve. So, with that said, what are my options, Disassemble and get a new sleeve pressed in, buy a new upper crank case, or a new motor. Wondering what people have done in the past.

 

Based on that image, what other things might be wrong with it? You could get quotes for a replacement sleeve, but I would imagine the parts and labor costs would make it higher than a replacement engine.
