What the h3!!
That's what a LAME might say, somebody like myself would simply answer with "my lap is pretty comfy"
I'm surprised you could not beat him from a stop. I've raced many fast civics in my car at the local strip and they trap higher than me, but still can't win because of traction problems. He should have sunk that cash into a better platform. just think of how much faster he could be. This guy spent 30k building this 1,000hp 8 second mustang. YouTube - Twin turbo 8 second mustang
Why would you think it's not street legal? What does that really mean anyway? We have no state inspection in Florida, so almost anything is street legal with just signals and lights. There are 8 second cars driving around here, like the one above, which are street legal.

And another 8 second mustang. YouTube - 8 sec street car (twin turbo mustang)
I'd love to buy a notchback and make it run 8's. That car launches like a freaking rocket ship! Front wheel drive drag racing should be illegal.

Moose,
Little different trying to geta V8 to run on the street that putting those numbers out then a 4 cylinder turbo. These 4 cylinders don't like to deal with stop and go driving at all. They want high RPM's.

I agree with that. Seems like your starting at a big disadvantage when building a car an starting with 4 or even 6 cylinders.
No not really, depends on the intentions. Theres 7 second Subies out there. They are just not streetable. You can call a V8 thats a 8 second car steetable all you want..... what....... maybe for a cruise night or short drives here and there.
I agree, pretty much all 10 sec or faster American made cars ive seen run on race fuel or run like **** on 93 octane. Seen most with fuel cells so no long drives.....But then again im not to big into fast cars. Cars are for familys and cruising solo and bikes are built for speed imo
Although rear wheel is fun to watch on the strip (trying to hook), watchin some awd car eat it up is better to watch. I would rather put a awd suburu pushin 500HP on the track over a 800HP rear wheel drive.....
