So This weekend it was BEAUTIFUL here in Utah. so I went riding. i was crusing down a back HWY and along came a PINK 92 Honda Civic. well we hit it and i am crouched and running ummm.... over 100 and i look over and they are right there. what the H3!!. so we get to a light and I decided it was time to take this piece. we hit it and i was gone. I hit 3rd and got passed like i was sitting still. street legal..... ???? I think not. oh well Someone has some skills when it comes to building cars

 

Every now and then you get surprised. Take comfort in the the fact that you could probably buy 5 of your bikes for what they spent making that civic fast. Street legal? Who knows. I garauntee that guy doesn't care. I'm sure he has fun though suprising corvettes and stuff though. Anything is possible and you cam go as fast as you want. All depends how deep your pockets are.

 

well I met him today. A guy i work with is married to his sister. The guy has about 75k in his car and runs low 9s in the quarter and runs out at a local street course here in utah. It is a turboed civic that makes about 1000 to the wheels. and the entire body is carbon and fiberglass. 1 seat, full roll cage, 5 gal fuel cell, 1 gauge 2 speed tranny and just fast. I rode in it today after work in a stock seat. my hell that car is stupid.

 

the nice things about civics is they are cheap to get, light as can be but they have a dino chart of a limp.. yeah you get the picture.. anyways, you can get a fast civic for about the cost of a bike if you do it right. but even then my camry has more torque lol.. thats pretty crazy though if he has 1k whp. my buddies have decent civics (no where close to 1k whp) but i would still have my bike.. its alot cheaper too

 

cheaper yes but i guess this guy built this car for sema. he owns a shop and went ALL out. but i would rather have my bike for sure

 

in all seriousness though if your gonna drop 75k into a car why not make it worth your while? you can get a 2j supra that runs 9s easy for that much money. plus the chance of breaking things in that civic are pretty high

 

like i said its what he does. I guess he is the CIVIC guy. but he only went that nuts for sema. kinda cool though

 

75k dollars on a civic IMO is a GROSS misapropriation of money. But to each his own.

so? his front wheel doesn't try and shoot for the moon when he nails it. he's rear end doesn't come off the ground squirling from side to side trying to stop. his car leans the wrong way.

...and you're still getting 30mpg.

there's always going to be something and someone faster than your bike or you. don't worry about that. we're not on the racetrack.

at the end of the day, he has a $75,000 pink civic that he has to re-install a seat to take someone for a ride... i bet the ladies come begging...
