I need some advise. I have the stock velocity stacks in my airbox but I'm curious what would happen if I took them completely out or cut them off? Has anyone done this modification yet? If so please let me know what happened good or bad!

 

I think you would screw up the works. I have heard of changing the location of them in the air box or of some sort of height modification, but I really don't know.

If memory serves, they are there to clean up the way the air enters the head. It has something to do with the smooth path of entry.
