well i got 22k on mine and never had to replace the cct or do a valve job. and she still runs as good as the day i got her wit 6k on it. so no mike u shouldnt have any concerns

i would hate to have start new thread so since we are talkin about tickin sound i have a question,
i hear tickin/clickin on cold starts (idle)and it goes away when bike warms up..........

I did too, but after changing my engine oil to synthetic 10w50 the ticking sound disappeared, guess it's the cold piston hitting the sleeve and goes away after warm up.

+1... It would always tick like crazy until it got to about 100 degrees, then it would stop. I think this is caused from the valves ticking until the oil gets liquified enough from engine temp to reach the top of the engine. Cold oil is too syrupy and the valves arent getting enough of it at first but as the bike warms up it shoots it up to the top.

...and i have noticed when i pull in the clutch the noise (clickin) goes away and when i release it comes back on.

The factory headers on our bikes are very thin also, helps to transmit that engine noise out.

where can i get 10w50? none of motocycle stores and dealers carry 10w50 where i live, im pretty sure ill find it at auto parts store but is it the same?? like can you use car oil in motorcycle.

i use maxim 10w 50 but i had to have them order it. its cheaper if you just get the 4 quart jug. you will save a few bucks. and it only takes a day for them to get it.
