tranny problems

i think i have a bent shift fork do i need ot split the engine to repair it thank for your help.

I don't think they had the cartridge tranny on the 954's so ya, you'd have to split the cases for the fork. It's like a $60 part and $600 labor[:@]

you can get to the shift forks-with the oil pan and left side engine cover removed
engine does not need to be removed(however,it does to get to the gears!)
