I have gotten over 10k miles on the rear with Pirelli Angels.I would not use these tires on a track but have used them in the twisties around my area and have not had any problems.

i have battlelax bt021 and the treadwear is actually really good compared to most tires. I had Dunlop sportmax and i commute to work on a daily and i started seeing steel treads with in 2 months of daily and some weekend rides. I had my Bt021's on for about 8 months and still plenty of tread to last the rest of the summer

if you daily, i recommend a sport touring type because you will get so much life out of them. I had dunlops and michelins pilot powers and i would burn through two sets in one season. they are good for track and hard riding but not for my style and maybe not yours depending on what you want to do with your bike

No need for the corsa's. You could get the regular diablo rosso's or rosso II's for way cheaper and will last longer.

Tires I have ridden on include:

Michlen pilot powers
pilot power 2ct's
Pirelli diablo corsa III's
Pirelli diablo rosso
Dunlop Q2's

I've read good and bad things about all of them. They all worked well for me. If I had to pic a favorite, it would probably be the Dunlops. They give a great feel for the road and gave me the smoothest ride.

They weren't all on your 954 though to experience. I'd say you had these on your Buell's. And the XB's were somewhat terrible with dunlops. All comes down to setup and how you feel and the feedback they give you as a rider.

Not all on the 954, no. I forgot to add the diablo stradas to that list, which are a sport touring tire I believe.

I've also had to readjust my suspension every time I change tire make/model. I'd suggest everyone learn how to do this.

Unless you use every inch of the tire to the very edge the 2CT is a waste of money over the regular Pilot Power. The soft compound of the 2CT is so small most riders never even get the bike over far enough to use it. I had the 2CT's on my 954 a few years ago and liked them better than the Pure's on my 954 right now. The Pure's provide good grip and mileage but the feel is just not there for me. The soft compound area is much larger on the Pure's so you will use it much more over the 2CT.

I have a set of Bridgestone's new S20's ready to install on my bike for this year. The price on a set of S20's from Chaparral-Racing was $230.76 shipped. This tire was just released the first of April is the US. My buddy has ran BT016's for a few years on his 929 and he really pushes them hard to the very edge both front and rear with no problems.

ive used the dunlop 208s or whatever came on the 954 - they're junk.

i used the pilot road 2 - wasn't a fan.

i'm a HUGE fan of the standard pilot power. i've used that on my f3, and 2 sets on my 954 - and i absolutely adore them. they're pretty damn good in the rain too. they don't brake the bank

right now i have pirelli corsas on my repsol. they're okay in the dry, but they make my bike a death trap in the rain. i'll NEVER buy them again, considering they're even more expensive than the PP, and still aren't quite as good as they are in the dry.

and i've got a 1000 or so miles on my shinko apex's. they're on my fighter. they're awesome. just like the PP, except cheaper. i have only had them in the rain once, and they were WAY better than the pirellis. so i think that'll probably be my standard road tire from now on - unless i decide to be trendy and get PP's again.

Within the next to week's I'm pulling the orginal tires that were on my bike from brand new. It came with Battlax BT012's. They aren't all that bad. But these things are pretty dry with age and I kept them on when they should of been yanked right away. I think I'm putting Qualifiers on. I've done Pilots and yes I'm a fan. But I found a great deal on the Qualifiers I'm not passing up.
