Temp gauge help!

Temp gauge help!

I picked up my new to me 954 today. When I rode it in about 73 degrees the temp gauge read at 208-214 degrees. Is this a norm for this bike?

normal

being behind cars, waiting at long lights - that sort of thing makes the temp go up
