TB'S and airbox cbr 1000
hi guys i want ask you a question, did someone know if the TB'S and the airbox with the front ram air fit of the cbr 1000 on the 954? i saw one kit of ram air for the 954 from hotbodies (very rarely to find unfortunatey) that it was working with the same system,i mean bring air from the front like the cbr 1000. the TB'S is interchangeable with the TB'S of the 954? if it fit did someone know also if i can add the 4 more injectors?

Not even close. That one really can't be done unless you redesigned the subframe. It uses a tank that sits back and almost under the seat. Its too wide where the subframe mounts onto the 954 frame.
Your tank sits high on it because of the injectors and ECU.
See the crossbar? That's where the 2 pods would sit and the front of the air box would be. It won't fit onto the TBs and around the crossbar at the same time, so you'd have to modify the box.
The intake tract isn't that important. If you look at some '29 and '54 fighters who are running stock air boxes and they've welded the tanks shut and flush with the frame, they're making just as much power as they did before despite the fact there is a wall where the air box opens up. So you really only need to get the air box to fit.
And this all for 04-07 stuff. NOT 08+. Sensors are different, the FPR is on the fuel pump and there's no return line and the air box is even taller.
There was a guy on fireblades.org that did it on a 929 and just the air box and TBs gave him 7hp....on a stock motor - plus the throttle response and smoothness(?) of the dual injection and newer fuel map. So its definitely worth a go. Its not that expensive, just labor intensive.

that's why i wanted to made.. the guy that i told that he add other 4 injectors you know how he made? he doubled (i don't know if it's the correct word) the electrical parts of the injectors,he modify the airbox and he add the other 4 injectors that they open with signal that gave the gearshift..he said that the bike became a monster! i forgot he also modify the original TB'S making them more large of some millimeters. if i will find the photos i will post =)
