I bought the manual for my bike $60 US; Got it here free amongst other. I was looking to do the valves so I bought the special tool for the chain tensionser, I paid more than $50 for it, and was surprised when I got it; looks like a miniature flat head. I thought that I paid too much for this screwdriver, but try to do valve job without it; i dont think its possible, i had to file down this tool just to get it to do the job its designed to do. Does anybody have an alternative to making this "special tool" out of cheaper tools we already have? Also, what other bikes use this same cam chain tensioner tool?

 

i use a really small flat head..... its made for electronics, but it's still just a really small flathead.


and i'm sure most of the honda's use a similiar set up.

 

I was reading a 600f4i manual, and it had the blueprints to make a homemade tool made out of a flat piece of metal. Too bad my neighbor broke in my house and stole my grinding wheel
