Whats crackin cbr guys & gals? I thought I would introduce myself.

My name is Alex and I am buying a 2003 954rr next month. I would have it now, but I dont want to finance the bad boy so I am going to pay $$$....needless to say I have to wait until March to have all the money.

The 2 bikes I am looking at are both 03's with 6k and 8k miles on them.

6k miles is going for $6800
8k miles is going for $6000
Both black/silver paint scheme

I think I am going to go with the lower mileage bike thought just because sometimes tires can speak to you...

The 954 was not my 1st choice, but it has grown on me. I was going to buy an 03 RC with 3k miles for 7k, but the RC is not going to work for commuting and I want to keep my nuts unroasted.

I looked at the 03 R1, but dont want to own the "Civic" of sportbikes...too common for me.

Other than that, I have not ridden in about 2 years, but my first bike was a 1990 Yamaha Fizzer 1000 that I loved to death. She was a pig, but a good stable 1st bike for me. She is long since dead due to wear & tear and I am excited that I will actually be able to take corners on the 954.

I have read around a bit and am looking forward to being a part of the team here.

 

Welcome bro, I to have the 03 954 black and titanium color. and I love it. What a great bike. Funny you mention the RC because I was suppose to pick up a RC one weekend but saw this great deal on the 954 and couldn't pass it up. I don't regret it one bit. Don't get me wrong , the RC is one of my Favorite bikes but this 954 just kicks ***, to bad they don't make it any more.
Anyway, enjoy, your gonna love it!
