o, and im sure you can guess they don't have "repsol orange" at the Powder Coating shop, but the orange i got is called "uhaul orange", it's pretty bright when it's clean. i figure any PC shop in america would probably be able to get that pretty easily

looking at probably replacing the 954 with a buell now... can't wait. ive definitely got that itch going on to go riding, and i can't. this sucks

and damn i'm in love. it says it's 20lbs heavier than the 954, but i have no idea where the hid the extra weight. so small and so nimble.

hmm, probably not too much right now. it's only got 11k miles on it. it has a k&n. the bike comes with braided lines. so i think i'm going to get a pipe (hopefully a special ops), i'll wrap the headers, and i'm going to give that ECMspy a go. that'll be it until something majorly goes wrong with it or i put on too many miles.

we'll see. the thing is just a blast to ride. the most noticeable thing is how much slower it is than a 954 - BUT - it is fun ripping that thing wide open a 2krpms. it's much more fun for the kind of riding i do than the 954 was. which is kind of sad considering how much work im putting into my other 954. oh well - that thing is going to be plenty fun to ride too.

Conrice call Drummer. The exhaust is a very good quality. If you call you'll speak to Kevin....great guy. Tell him Dana sent ya. My Buell was actually one of test mules for the 12 exhaust when it was released years ago. (828) 381-7546

ya, it's not even close. 954 WAY faster.

i will say though that when i glance down at the speedo, i am going faster through corners than i was on the 954.

the only pic i've got is the one from the CL ad. (no, i don't own a tanning bed)

all i've done since is tighten up the suspension and remove all the decals but the BUELL on the airbox, remove the passenger pegs.... and that's about it (the decals on the bike are basically marketing for it - the FORCE COOLED stickers (for the fan) and MASS CENTRALIZED EXHAUST stickers drive me nuts.

although i tell you what, i didn't realize how easy and cheap some major modifications are to the motor. $700 for a big bore kit that comes with jugs and you don't have to take the case or the motor out of the bike to do them (i payed that alone for pistons on the 954 i'm building). so maybe when i get some more money and have my bike back on the road for good - i may get into some of that. as old as the basic technology of the motor is - i have to be honest - it's starting to make sense because there's a huge aftermarket and there's tons of online help and its easy to work on. the power is just never going to be there as far as an I4 goes - but the ole vtwin is fun in it's own way.
