Default Which size is the best?

I currently have the Metzeller Sport Tec M3 190/50 ZR 17. Thinking about going to 200/50 ZR 17.

not a huge difference.... i had a 200 diablo on mine ... stick with the 190 unless u have a real reason for changing, by the looks of the question there is no need for you to change to the 200.. 190 or even 180 is bettter for cornering

The general rule is the smaller width tire will turn it better for cornering. I have personally switched between the 190 and 200 because at times the 200 was cheaper to buy. I run ocassionally at the drag strip and the track (road america) and mylap and quarter mile timesat either place are not affected by the size of tire, meaning i don't corner better with the 190 or stick better with the 200. Now thats not to say there is not a differance, but to a"novice" rider such as myself i notice no differance at all.

200's are only for looks on these bikes they provide no positive handling characteristics. If you still want to corner well and have a big tire stick with the 190. If you don't care what the tire looks like on the bike and want to rail through the corners get the 180.

yup......stick with the 190 if you plan on cornering more agressively. go with the 200 if you want a little fatter "show" look.

Great tire, BTW.![sm=smiley20.gif]

this is one of those things that i think that if you are not a pro rider than it will not make a differance it is mostly the look and a more expensive tire...so if you ask me in this form i would say it is about the look....

my opinion stick with the 190 unless you just want the fatty look....the 190 def. handles better in my opinion
