Default Slip on conversion

Ihavent even looked into this at all but i have noticed a few 954's with slip ons, not bolt ons, do you have to change the header to put on a slip on? or can you just chop off the bolt up part?

I believe if they have what looks to be a slip on its more than likely a full system. The bolt ons are attached just like the stock canister with three bolts at the bottom of the canister

I agree but if you look at the exhaust he has its a full because a slip on for a 954 is technically a bolt on exhaust canister.

I have an Erion Racing canister bolted onto my stock system. One thing to think about is the HTEV valve. It seems strange but it actuall is beneficial to the system. So either leave the systemit alone, use a quality bolt-on or high-end full racing system. This is what I was told by Erion Racing. I'm thinking they are a reputable source....

if u get a full system and remove the htev dealio good idea to get a tune and air fuel ratio worked out again, but a slip on is really just for noise and doens't do much, there is just less baffle/packing

thats what im trying to find out, is there such a thing as a bolt-on high pipe? or do you have to modify the stock header (cut the bolt-on part off) to make it work?
