Thinking about ordering a torn passenger seat and pullin the foam and cover off. This is the cowl that came with my fairings, with no frame. I dont want to lose my seat in the event i need it and can swap. What do you guys think? Can it be done by pullin the frame apart and drillin some holes then mounting?

i googled a picture of the bottom of our seat, and it looks like someone has done exactly what you're talking about, so id say you could probably do it, but i'm not quite sure

Now i need to find a used one. I pretty much refuse to pay what they are asking for a used on eBay. A seat that is only worth the frame and they want 70 for it.....im not paying 70 for a 1 out of 10 rating...

I just bought a chinese one that took a lot of stuffing about to fit but it did fit eventually.
It looks like they just copied the original underseat plastic, and screwed on the cowl with four screws like you are suggesting.
The problem was that they mounted the studs for the hinge mount too close to the locking latch. It was too short to the locking pin. I had to elongate my hinge holes a bit to allow it to latch up.
The cowl plastic is pretty craptacular but you have the cowl plastic you want already.
It cost me all of $40 delivered.

I got you but this one was free. It came with my fairing kit. That is why instead of ordering a premade cowl, ill buy a OEM seat and mount it there. It will fit like OEM! Or at least we'll see..
