Default Scotts Steering Stabilizer

Anyone know if a Scotts Steering Stabilizer from a 929 will fit a 954 without modifications?

The stabilizer will but the mounting bracket will not. Every place that I have looked have different part numbers forthe mounting bracketand they are listed seperate also.

Well hell, I looked on the scotts page and could not find product numbers! I looked at the pictures and it showsthe same pictures for the 929s and the 954s. ThereforeI figured why not, I bought the set up off a 929 anyway... Now I guess I have to buy the kit for a 954.

Well, I got the kit an it is now installed. They are not the same. BUT A 929 kit will work for a 954 withone minor modification. Just had to take the lower bracket to the grindin wheel for a min or two. I have tested it an have found that it works just fine, no problems!

I also have a 929 kit for my 954. It fits fine, but for some reason the tower pin is a little short. I called the company and they said the tower pin is adjustable.

I did not see any difference from the tower pin on my buddy's 954 with a 954 kit and my 954 with a 929 kit. What is different on my is that the tower pin is about 1/8 inchcloser to the stabilizer once the flange is put over the pin. Fits and operates just fine though.
