I bought this 2002 954rr from salvage. 7200 miles It was droped on the right side pretty bad. The right engine/ trany cover is scratched pretty heavy behind the faring. It is leaking a few drops a night in my garage. I see it is leaking at the seam. I called the local honda parts dept and there is no gasket there the manual reffers to a triple bond sealant.

My question is if I pop this cover off to reseal it should I expect any complex reassembly like things are going to pop out that kind of stuff?

Im a diesel mechanic so I have some abilitys.

Oil should be the only thing to stream out. That is the clutch side and everything is bolted in. Go for it.

I'm curious what you paid for the salvage? I'm looking for a 954 motor or salvage deal.
Motors on ebay seem to a little steep. Any sugeestions?
