replacing clutch..

Default replacing clutch..

is it necessary to replace the clutch springs? all i got was the kevlar clutch friction plates..

if you do it you might as well change it all to prevent going back into it. I would change it, kinda like putting the clutch in a car with the old pressure plate and throw out bearing,just doesnt make too much sence. for that what if factor. my .02

I would definitely replace the springsif I were you,especialy if you have the stock ones on there.

well i talked to a couple friends of mine and they suggested that OEM clutches are probably the best.. so im going to a motorcycle salvage yard tomorrow.. they have a huge selection of motors so im just gonna get a clutch from them. they quoted me $50.

id stickwith he kevlar plates... theyll last longer and add a few extra ponies.. $50for oem clutches?? used i assume? didntwe just cover this

yeah i have the kelvar plates already.. but im just gonna throw in the used clutch n see how long it'll last me. and until they fry up ill hopefully have enough to buy some springs to put in with the kelvars.

Nah,I would use the oem clutch with aftermarket springs,It'll last a lot longer and is a better set up.
