Default Rear brake sticking, help

I was inspecting my bike today and noticed that my brake light stayed on when i pushed the rear brake. Sucks. When i manually pulled it up, it went off. Is there something I can do before I am forced to take it in to a shop to be looked at?

try checking and/adjusting the switch first-also check the return spring

lower inside of right side rear set-you will see the switch and return spring
the switch is threaded, just rotate disc/nut tillthe switch isproperly adjusted to
