Default Manual timing chain adjuster

I have about 10,000 miles on my 954. I do alot of wheelies. Well just say I run the sh@t out of my bike. I heard people say that its good to put a manual timing chain adjuster on my bike. Has anybody ever done this upgrade or know a good one to get. Around how much do they run?

Default RE: Manual timing chain adjuster

I did it on both of my gsxr's but not the honda yet. They are about $50 from APE and should take about an hour to hour and a half to intall if you have the right tools and good know how (assuming that its not that diffrant under my honda tank then my gsxr tank). That said i dont know if its as needed on our bikes or not, i assume someone will chime in to help there or correct me if im wrong.

i had just about 14k and i never touched it and i always did stand ups and rode it pretty hard.. have alot of friends with bikes 20k plus who never touch it.. just keep up the maintence and take good care of it, but i am sure you can get a more professional answer, just my 2 cents
