i know this is a month old already... but check this....

i borrowed my buddy's clean 954 to take it up on some twisties... i rode out 90 miles from SF,CA just to crash it @100mph! i went to a place called skaggs... rode 5 miles of it and went to the floor. i was trying to pass some slow guy... but i've never been there before and i didn't see the turn, went wide onto leaves, and was gently put down to the ground. luckily for me, i was geared up and walked away with a few scratches on my leg. bike's totaled... but i rode it home. the left clip-on (handlebar) broke off just like yours so i ended up zip-tieing it to the triple clamp.

atleast you're able to type still... heal up man and take care

Just a little update. Got out of the cast on Thursday, doctor said no motorcycle riding for now but who evergot in trouble by not listening to doctors?Got word about a 98 Ninja 900. Going to look at it this weekend. I loved the 954 but for $2500.00 I don't know if I can pass this up. Oh and that sucks perf0rmance. At least it wasn't your bike though. Thats my worst nightmare, either wrecking someone elses bike or having a buddy wreck mine.

I think I went the right route. I bought an 01 F4i with some mods last year for my first bike and put 10,000 miles on it for the year. I just bought my 954 a couple hours ago now, I can definately see how mid range power on these could get away from a new rider easily. I was pretty amazed with it. I'd say it's a big mistake to start out on a 954 or any liter bike. Bad luck btw on it being when you didn't have gear on. I resist the temptation not to wear armor on 90+ degree days.

yea armor is a must...no matter the temp...all of us know that when we are going to the store that is 1/4 mi. up the road and we see a fine *** girl or another bike that thinks they got it better than you ,you will be all over that in a heartbeat...if its riding wheelies or racing..so full gear always bc you never know what you will run into...

750.00 off ebay you could replace it all with used parts, hell I would be doing it in the cast and have it ready before I started walking.... Glad you came out ok for the most part!

Did u wheelie over the bike? Or how did it happened, seems like ur bike did a couple of somersaults.
