Moto..........its always good to have a little extra booty! The 954 lights fit perfectly inside the fairing for the signal markers. The 929/RC51 version will leave a slight gap in the rear of the light. They are also a hair short for the hole. Bottom line is this. If they can stay mounted in the slot after many and repeated "accidental" wheelies.......It will work! My fear was that they would pop out like two eyeballs out of their sockets after a rough landing. So far so good!

Back order!? Mine were on back order too in Jan. Took like three weeks to get them. Worth the wait. I got mine from a local shop. 90 even.

They hold up pretty good, even to those "accidental" wheelies. One thing that is really cool, you do not have to buy resistors or relays for these bad boys! That is, unless you modify the rear signals to LEDs.

I have a hotbodies undertail on the rear. I was hoping that I wouldnt need any additional equipment to keep them rear signals working. With the ignition switch in the on position they were steady.......no blinking. Needless to say I was pissed! But after a good shot of Bacardi gold into my pepsi.......I put the bike in neutral and fired her up and then tried. All signals were blinking their little LED's off. Life was good.

how do these things mount? Do they mount directly on fairing or do they just sit thru the cowl and mount to the inner fairing like the stock turn signals? TIA

Easy to install. Instructions say to remove the fairing. I just removed each air cowl and accessed the lights through there. Its a tight fit.........big hands and fat fingers make it worse. But its worth it to not have to drop the fairing. The lights come with threaded post in the light. You just throw a washer on the backside of the fairing and tighten her up.Then do all your wire connections. Clip the old signal wires as close as you can. The protons come with more than enough wire, but its always a good thing to have enough wire for your connections. When all is done it tucks nice and neat back into the air cowl compartment.
