Just to see if anyone has done it before; I currently ride an 03 954RR..I am looking to either powder coat or paint the swing arm black..Has anyone here done that any recomendations, which way to go or not to go. The reason I was thinking powder coat is one it is more durable and two the heat will not effect it as much as paint(unless high temp paint is used)..Just curious about how warm/hot it gets on the swing arm..Any help would be great.

 

would think it would work pretty good, why black, just something different, i would think chrome

 

I have thought about chrome but I am having trouble finding somewhere close to get it done..Plus every place I to look into there is such a drastic price diffeence in one place from another. I understand some our exchange programs (your part stock for there part chrome)..But even those places have such a dratic price diff. between them. I am willing to pay good money for a good product but with such differences between multiple places who knows if there ripping off or charging a fair price for outstanding work??Plus the exchange is not realy an optuion for me considering when I was hit on my bike in August it scuffed a spot on the sub-frame..
