Hello guys my bike presently is in a mess. White smoke is all I see from the exhaust whenever I rev my bike. And my Mech said I need to have my piston and rings changed. Please I need suggestions on the sites I can visit to get this parts.

White smoke is usually coolant burning.

Has your mechanic done a compression test, leak down test, or even a hydrocarbon test of the cooling system?

If it was blue smoke, being oil, it could be coming from the top end or entering through the intake since its on acceleration.

 

We checked the valves ,the shims and the timing chain.. Which all functioned well but still the tapping sound I complained earlier about has gotten louder only to check my plugs only to find out they're soaked with oil. Hence the advice to get a new set of rings.

Valve clearances are good to check, but won't tell you anything about where the problem is.

Your mechanic needs to test the rings with a compression test and a leak down test.

Would it be possible to get a picture of the plugs?

 

I will need to take out the plugs and send you pictures

 

Try to keep them in order....
