Ordering Farings off of E-Bay?
Has anyone tried those complete faring packages offered on E-Bay? I am very weary about stuff on e-bay, and I think that these might be some kind of kit that needs modifications. If anyone has or knows someone who has put these on, I would like some feedback please.
Thanks Guys!
Thanks Guys!
I've bought some off ebay - but still havent fitted it all yet - all I can say about the finish is WOW!
The paint job on my fairings is amazing, and its a complete custom scheme so its not like they had a sticker kit to make it easier...
As far as fitment goes, they will never be as good as OEM and you just have to anticipate/expect that. Just do your research, email them and ask for their best price - then tell them some other guy beat it and they'll price match.
I got mine including shipping to Australia for $600USD. For that price even if I have to mod them a bit I really cant complain!!!
And just make sure you get ABS plastics and not PVC. ABS is more heat resistant and flexible, PVC is more brittle, especially when exposed to heat (for example, your exhaust system).

ya...just like sneddy said..make sure its abs....and always look in there feedback and see what others have to say about recent shipments and things sold. I paint and some some fab work on bikes and helmets for a living and some of the fairings people have brought me have been some major crap.... and its a pain in the butt to get them and then say hey...i have to charge you extra cause this is going to be more work then just painting and sanding...so do a little reserch and i wish you the best
i orderd a honda front fairing.. fit perfect.. orders a fiberglass tail from a used shop/dealership and orderd a used OEM fairing off ebay and other then that i orders ALOT of different parts of ebay just look at feedback AND READ DISCRIPTION CLOSEY
Thanks for the feedback gentlemen. I have a big decision to make, and I HATE intrusting my money to E-Bay!! Although Pay Pal is Really cool about frudulant offers. (I can't Spell For ****!)
The guys who I bought mine off were called "Auctmarts" and were kickarse. It took a month from pay to recieved, but I did get custom paint - so i wasn't really fased by that.
The other one who I was looking at was "TobyChing" but his feedback looked a bit too perfect if you get what I mean.
They more than likely get all their **** done by the same mob and just are different retailers for the chinese fairings. But hey - who ever gives you the best price at the end of the day.
Good luck with your purchase/decision!

I met a guy at a hang out who got a kit from Ebay from Hong Kong and it looks great. He said it was tuff getting it on, but others who had toinstall there's that where OEM said the same thing. I detail bikes and highed cars, it looked pretty damn good. Especially for $600. Bikes I detail they pay at least double that just for a paint job. A custome paint job would look nicer but you pay for what you get. I'm looking at getting a kit myself. Bike I bought has a shiz-e paint job. Didn't sand between coats. I checked out Motofansclub feedback and it looks good. Ones that said bad things seemed like they didn't read the description. Which is the biggest mistake people make.
