Default Online ordering...

Typically, I love ordering my stuff online. It's brainless, you don't have to run around anywhere to try and find what you are looking for, generally don't have to deal with people who could careless. But I also have come to expect fast shipping or at least communication of reasons for the delay.

So, I went to get my bike inspection ($50) 2 weekends ago...it failed because the tread on my rear is getting a little low. Of course, being the dealership, they offered tires with outrages price for Qualifiers ($250 and didn't have in stock). So, I said I would get my own. They told me I had 10 days to bring the bike back in and they'll slap the sticker on for $2. Otherwise I'll have to pay for the inspection again.

So, I jump on here and found someone saying that derbycycles.com has decent prices, so I order my pilot power rear. I received the typical automated response that it's been payed for blah blah blah and they'll notify me when they ship.

About 6 days in I send an email asking for a status. No reply. I wait a few more days. Keep in mind their policy states that to wait for 5-7 days for shipping. It's now been 10 and still have not received a damn word. I took a look at their policy, and they say if you cancel, there is a 15% restocking fee. WTF is there to restock if they haven't shipped it?

Anyway, I've just placed a 2nd order with http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/ who say they usually ship within the same business day of ordering. It costs $10 more at this site. It will be interesting to see which one gets here first.

All I can say is derbycycles customer service is the pits.
