Did you do the work yourself? I have been thinking of doing this on mine and wanted to know how long it took and what you used.

no i had my buddy that has his own shop to do them he just stripped the powdercoat off and polished the wheels and then he taped out the lip and painted the center and shot some clear on them (what he told me)??....the whole reason i done it was because i gouged the front wheel with a tire iron putting a tire on when it was like 20 degrees outside. not an easy task when its cold better when the tire it warm so it can flex....anyway it took him about a week

Thanks man, I am still unsure which direction I am going to go. I'm either going to polish a few pieces or murder as much out as I can. I think I am actually leaning toward murdered since you don't see much of it. Around here at least.

Any idea how he polished them? I used air craft stripper to do this on my old gsxr, it looked good, im going to do it to my 954 but i want to do it right (e.g. clear coat for easier care and polishing with a disc or whatever)

I did the same to mine several months ago. I used Duplicolor Brake Caliper paint. It turned out great.
