Default New to Forum but not 954

Just joined the forum. I have owned my 954 since new. Just PCIII and an Akra slip on, but more than enough bike for me.

Beautifull!

What kind of power difference did you notice when you put on your PCIII with just a slip-on? I only have a slip-on and was wondering if it was worth the investment.

Oh, and welcome.

I tried doing it the cheap way at first when I installed the Akrapovic slip on, hoping it would run well without the PCIII. The bike went from running flawlessly with the stock muffler to crappy with the Akra. I could just tell that the bike wasn't nearly as happy as it was with the stock setup. The PCIII made a huge difference! I tried a couple of maps out and picked one as a starting point. Over a couple of weeks I custom tuned the map using my seat of the pants dyno and laptop, experimenting with different throttle openings and different rpms. I played with this until I was happy with how the bike ran, and then took it to the local sportbike shop for a custom dyno tune. After the initial dyno run to establish a baseline the tech told me it was fueling perfect and wouldn't touch a thing! Got lucky.

So this was a long winded way of saying - get the PC and don't delay!

TK, thanks for the proper post of my picture. I tried but couldn't get the Photobucket to post. Maybe it has to do with membership status or something. But I've got to say your "seizure" thing is very annoying.

NP on the pic, you just have to copy and paste the "direct link" box into the little postcard icon.
