Need some technical help
So I had to replace my head gasket and when I took of the cams and and the head to replace it everything went fine. However I put the cams back in makeing sure there all lined up.
For some reason though when I go to rotate my crankshaft, it moves for about 80 degrees around then just stops, feel like its in gear(the engine is removed from the bike also). So I'm tryin to double check that its in nuetral which is hard to do but i'm pretty sure it is. Its still not working though.
If anyone knows why its getting stuck you would really make my weekend.

Even in gear, without the chain and rear wheel arresting it, I would think you could still turn it. Look at the front sprocket and see if it trys to turn. Other-wise, I think you have the timing off and a valve is meeting the top of a piston. Double check that you don't have one of the camshafts 180 out of rotation.
That IS a guess, but it's my best one. Good luck.

Yeah I mean i even had the head off and tried it and was still getting stuck. Then I magically fixed it. So I put it all back together and was getting stuck again.
As for the cams being 180 out I followed the pic in the manual where it has both lobes facing outward.
I'm really confused and just want to be done so I can go riding while the weather is good

You sure you didn't drop anything down the galley? I know some bikes have small dowels that help line the head up and these can fall into the engine. Might be worth getting one of those extendable magnets and having a poke around.
So figured I would tell everyone that I found the problem in case this might happen to you. Slightly ashamed it took so long to find.
So when I went to rotate the cams I didn't have the tensioner on and the cam chain was folding over on it self at the bottom where you turn the crank.
Everything's working good now.
