I know this is a slightly old topic, but what the heck.

For someone who is new to riding and dosent seem to understand why he wrecked, you dont seem very curious.....

Do yourself a favor and keep your foot off the rear brake unless you are having trouble keeping the front wheel on the ground, which from the sound of your skill level shouldnt be a problem for you.

Losing 10-25% of your braking potential shouldnt be a problem considering you wont even be able to use 60% of your bikes capability for a LONNNGGG time.

Read up on the basics.... and practice practice practice.

When something happens that you dont have a clue about like,.... transfering 90% of your bikes weight and yours to the front tire and wondering why your rear end locked up and destroyed you... then READ and figure out what the hell you did wrong.

And as the previous post said Why would you even have the ignorance to step on a preformance literbike without even a hint of motorcycle physics under your helmet...

PLZ invest in some racing leathers for the sake of your skin matching.....

A 600 supersport is anything but a learner bike. Get yourself something old and small to learn the basics on. Perhaps an early 90's GS500 with no fairings. Plastics cost money...

With a 954 as your first bike, your going to drop it again... Whether you were 17 or 40, I would say the same thing, so don't think it is a matter of age, just experience.

You always drop your first bike... no matter what. Whether it is in a driveway, or at 100mph... It might as well be something cheap and ugly that you can drop and not be so pissed about. The plastics you destroyed could easily equal the cost of a good learner bike that you would build your skills on before having a litrebike with 135hp...[:-]
