Default My bike wont start...

Ok, so i recently painted my bike black with silver flames, and then realized i needed to powdercoat the frame, subframe, triple tree, and some other things...i took the bike apart all the way to just the frame and the swingarm, and now that i have all the parts back, im in the process of putting it all back together. well, i got everything done thats important. (fuel injection system, airbox, tank, lights, etc...) and now the bike wont start. when i tried cranking it, the starter relay made sort of an arching sound after a couple of turns...any ideas? oh, i also tried jumping the bike off, thinking it may just be a weak battery after it sitting for about a month, but am told that i may have fried my computer cuz i tried jumping it off of a car...i hope this is not the case. everything works fine, the lights, signals, i can hear the fuel pump and everything working normally, it just wont turn over.

LOL what is it with you guys and taking stuff apart. OK first is the light flashing a code? Was the car running when you jumped it? You can hear the pump prime when you turn the bike on? Do you have spark?

hey man the only way i learn is to take **** apart...lol...i had help taking it apart, but then my friends sort of said screw me and i was all alone with my manual to put it back together. its pretty hard to connect things wrong, only certain plugs go into certain plugs...i havent checked for spark yet, as im about to do that here in a few. i hope its not fried, however, i do have access to a 900rr, so if the PGM-FI UNIT is fried, will a 900s fit the 954? thanks for your help

Have you tried a new battery. Most of the time, for me anyways, it's always the battery. Just needs to be charged up or replaced. good luck.

I would check all of your power leads and grounds. Especially the grounds since you just had stuff painted. Make sure the leads are touching metal. It's easy to get a bad ground.
